Kulm Hotel St. Moritz
When winter subjects meet Olympic sports: The Kulm Hotel St. Moritz is one of the very first addresses in Upper Ghent. The "Corviglia" ballroom was enchanted into a Winter Wonderland and played with in such a way that guests could immerse themselves in a fantastic winter world. To accomplish this task, paper was used to absorb both daylight and artificial lighting. The window front was mirrored in the room to emphasize the symmetry of the installation. Matching soffits structured the ceiling. The resulting 22 windows were covered with pop-up silhouettes, for which winter subjects were designed and used.
Winter subjects and Olympic winter sports created a fantastic winter world from silhouettes.
